Quick Search - Advanced Search - View Selection (0 Item/s)

  • To test our Autoboolean, Google-like search feature, enter the two words: Database resources into the Keywords box and you will see that both terms will be searched as if there were an & between them and not searched like a phrase. However, if you enter those words into the Title box, where the Autoboolean feature is NOT applied, you will not get any results as this field searches as if these words were a phrase.

Search Tips

Within search boxes:

  • Use & for AND
    (information & research)
  • Use / for OR
    (accidents / accident)
  • Use ! for NOT
    (system ! systems)

Special Characters:

  • Use * to truncate
    (e.g. system* finds
    system,
    systems,
    systematic, etc.)
  • Use >, <, >=, <= for greater or less than
    (e.g. <= 1999 finds dates earlier than 1999 inclusive)
  • Use : to search a range
    (e.g. 1999:2003, example:sample)
